Pre-party pampering

Heading to a fabulous party this Christmas and New Year’s eve? We’ve rounded up London’s best last-minute beauty treatments that will ensure you look head-to-toe gorgeous in no time at all.

Elemis Speed Spa

Mayfair’s super-friendly House of Elemis offers a brilliant range of super-quick beauty treatments in its dedicated Speed Spa. Each facial begins with a face scan, which defines areas of concern to allow for a targeted treatment – a really clever idea, and a trick that many facialists miss. The best pick for a pre-party beauty boost is the Sheer Brilliance technology facial, which uses an ultrasonic peel to pump skin cells full of nutrition, and galvanic current to flush every layer with active ingredients. You’ll leave with fresh, glowy skin, and not a hint of redness – all in an impressive 30 minutes.

Chances are, you’ve already heard of James Harknett: he’s the man responsible for many an A-list glow, and is famed for his ultra-realistic finishes. Currently in residency at London’s W hotel, James offers a specialist menu of tanning options, all performed in his luxe, spa-like studio. The London is a Kate Moss-inspired treatment, which involves a light dusting of tan with a subtle contour, while the Santa Fe is an homage to JLo’s famous glow: a maximum-strength tan combined with lifting illuminator.

James exclusively uses Sienna X products, which are fast-drying and completely void of any give-away smell – we promise! Moisturise with abandon for the first few days, and your new-found glow will linger for days after that big night out.
