March has been a fun month for trying new treatments, so as it draws to a close I thought I’d write a mini review of my top three favourites. It’s also worth mentioning that we only ever write about the things that we genuinely love, so rest assured that if we feature it, it’s worth your time and money. Read on to find out more…
Omorovicza’s pop-up facial at Clifton Nurseries
Omorovicza is a lovely luxury skincare brand from Budapest, and has become one of my favourite beauty discoveries. All of its products feel really special and smell heavenly, so an invitation to their pop-up facial event at Clifton Nurseries was welcomed with a big YES! The facial promised to illuminate and hydrate the complexion, and took inspiration from the exotic scents of Budapest – it was also inspired by the floral ingredients of its first fragrance, Bagatelle de Gabrielle.
It began with a stimulating enzyme cleanse and polish, followed by a beautifully fragranced rose-scented serum that lifts and tightens the skin. This was one of the standout parts of the treatment for me as I absolutely love rose, and the serum instantly soothed my skin and felt like a real treat. This was then followed by one of my favourite Omorovicza products, the Hungarian moor mud mask, which draws out all of the nasty impurities and detoxifies the complexion. Once removed with a hot cloth, my facialist gave me a Hungarian facial massage. If you’ve never experienced a facial massage before, it can be a bit of a shock, as the face holds a lot of tension which can feel quite tender at first. But I recommend giving it a go as facial massage has many benefits including boosting elasticity in the skin, stimulating lymphatic drainage and eliminating excess fluids and toxins.
A few days after the facial, my complexion looked brighter, and no less than three people commented on my ‘lovely glow’. I’d definitely recommend trying a facial if you already love Omorovicza’s products, or would like to give them a try for the first time. It’s the perfect way to get a little taster of all of the best bits. I guarantee you’ll fall in love.
Check omorovicza.com for details on its facial events. Available at Space NK, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Liberty London.
If you’re London based, then I recommend popping Milk Beauty’s number in your phone. They’re a London-based mobile beauty service that offers everything from massage to spray tans and pedicures, all from the comfort of your own home.
I trialled its new coconut full-body massage and boy did I feel like spoiled. I was booked in for a 6.45pm massage, and my therapist arrived right on time with her mobile bed in hand. She took five minutes to prepare the room, and even came with her own spa-like music and cosy blanket for me to slip myself under. Five minutes in and I’d completely forgotten that I was in my living room. (Aside from my cat trying to interrupt).
The massage uses organic raw coconut oil is which feels ultra-soothing and moisturising and melts right into the skin. My masseuse focused on every part of the body while incorporating a unique combination of lymphatic drainage and pressure point focused movements that sweep away toxins and soothe tension. The massage lasted an hour, but you can also choose a quicker 30-minute back and shoulders massage, or a more intensive 90-minute treatment if you’re in need some serious r and r. What I liked most about the service was that afterwards I didn’t have to jump on a tube or go out into the cold, and had the complete privacy of being in the comfort of my home. MILK offers everything from waxing to pedicures and tanning, and run all over London seven days a week with appointments running from 10am until 10pm.

Olaplex hair treatment
If you haven’t heard about Olaplex yet, where have you been? This revolutionary hair treatment has just arrived in the UK, and is famed in the U.S for its dramatic results and Kardashian seal of approval. (Apparently Kim’s dramatic brunette-to-blonde transformation was only made possible thanks to Olaplex as it helps to push the hair further when colouring, especially when bleaching).
I colour my hair every six weeks or so, and recently it has been feeling a little bit dry and frazzled, so I was looking forward to seeing what the Olaplex treatment would do. I tried it out at the Colournation salon in London’s Oxford Circus, where I was given a fully explanation as to what I could expect. Basically, Olaplex is a single active ingredient that dramatically eliminates hair breakage that can be caused when using permanent hair colour and hair tools. It has the potential to restore and improve the structure of the hair, and can be used as a single-service or as an add-on when you have a cut, colour or blow-dry. Results will vary depending on the condition of your hair, but it is guaranteed to look and feel softer and stronger.
After the treatment my hair felt dramatically softer and like I’d just had a recent cut and colour – even though I’m long overdue. My stylist also said that it would help my colour to last longer the next time I had it refreshed, as the treatments results can be felt for weeks after. Its recommended to have the treatment every few months to help strengthen and improve your hair’s condition after time.
