What are the benefits of hyaluronic acid in skincare?

“The benefits are visibly younger, fresher and smoother skin. Hyaluronic acid plumps up the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines, dry patches and even helps recover lost moisture due to skin treatments or harsh weather”.

Many people may think it sounds a bit scary, so can you tell us how hyaluronic acid is made and where it comes from?

“Unlike other anti-aging products, hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in your body. It can be found throughout the body in various parts like joints, eyes, skin, hair etc. It is also a natural humectant, absorbing and retaining water to provide cushioning to joints, fluid to eyes, and moisture to skin and hair to keep you young and healthy. Hyaluronic acid has the capability of holding water up to 1000 times its own weight, so with time, the natural hyaluronic acid in your body decreases, leading to dry aging skin and wrinkles among many other things. That is why it is so important to include it in your skincare routine”.

What long-term benefits can we expect to see from using it every day?

“You will instantly get rid of any tightness in your skin, resulting in hydrated skin. After time you will notice that your skin is much softer, plumper and radiant and any fine lines will be smoother. Your friends will tell you this. Most of our customers tell us their friends are the first to notice and always ask them what beauty product they are using.”

What are the best ways of implementing hyaluronic acid into our skincare regime?

“One way of implementing hyaluronic acid into your skincare is by using topical serums like our Pure Hyaluronic serum. These serums are made for best absorption by your skin, making it plumper, smoother and softer. With regular use, our hyaluronic acid serum nourishes and hydrates the skin to keep away fine lines and wrinkles. I would recommend applying your topical serum to a cleansed and toned face”.

A cult favourite for a reason, Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum works as you sleep. It’s recently had an upgrade so as well as containing its original mix of moisturising hyaluronic acid and reparative antioxidants, it’s now been supercharged with extra ingredients that help skin cells to purge themselves of damaging toxins. I find it makes my skin appear fresher, brighter and more youthful.
