If you still have a few last-minute gifts to pick up before the weekend, fear not. Here’s a selection of some of my favourite picks that are sure to make the beauty buff in your life extremely happy on Saturday.
Diptyque Mini Figuier Candle
I dare you to find anyone who doesn’t enjoy a mini Diptyque candle. The Figuier fragrance is one of my favourites and is inspired by the warm scent of a fig tree. It makes a super luxurious addition to a stocking and costs just £20. Pick one up from John Lewis, Space NK or online at Net-a-Porter.
Omorovicza Blue Diamond Set
Ok, so admittedly this is on the expensive side of the gift list, but if you want to really spoil someone, this is certainly the way to do it. The Hungarian skincare brand is one of my favourites, and this Blue Diamond serum and moisturiser duo is described as the crème de la crème of anti-ageing skincare. It worked nothing short of witchcraft on my skin, and gives it a lovely luminosity. There’s still time to order from their website omorovicza.com or pick up in store at Space NK, Harvey Nicholls and Selfridges.
Accessorize LoveLilly Fragrance
Accessorize’s newly launched LoveLilly Eau de Toilette is the perfect gift for sisters and girlfriends. Beautifully packaged and really affordable (at £18.50) it makes a lovely stocking filler. Juicy top notes of raspberry and orange are invigorated with a zesty accord of bergamot while fresh Jasmine adds to its lovely floral heart.
Pixiewoo Hollywood Icons gift set
The Pixiewoo Hollywood Icons gift set was made for the diehard beauty buffs in your life. Sisters Sam and Nic Chapman (made famous by their Pixiwoo YouTube channel) present this documentary in which they learn about the looks and beauty secrets of bygone Hollywood icons and attempt to recreate the defining looks themselves. The set comes with a Real Techniques Limited Edition blush brush to try out the looks as you watch.
Beuti Sleep Elixir
The Beuti Sleep Elixir is a lovely gift for friends or relatives who need a bit of TLC – think new mums, overworked pals, etc. Wonderfully nourishing, it helps to reverse the signs of ageing with a natural blend of 14 plant-based oils. You might want to drop in that it’s also a favourite of The Duchess of Cambridge to boot. It costs £42 and is available on lookfantastic.com.
Rituals The Calming Ritual of Dao Gift Set
Rituals are masters at gift sets, and The Calming Ritual of Dao is one of my favourite from the wider collection. The smallest gift set costs just £29.50 but feels far more expensive – it comes packaged in a bow-topped, blossom-decorated box and includes a 200ml foaming shower gel, 70ml body cream, 125ml body scrub and 200ml shower oil. There is also a medium and large size if you want to up the ante.
Ila Festive Blessing Crackers
Many beauty brands have released Christmas Crackers, and I think this one from Ila is a gorgeous way of giving something really luxurious without breaking the bank. Ila have created a separate cracker for the face and the body, each filled with a pampering variety of some of ila’s most popular products in mini version. I tried the products in the body cracker and received a body lotion, shower oil and the most beautifully scented bath salts I’ve ever come across. The nicest part? Each cracker contains an inspirational Ila blessing card in the place of a traditional joke.
The Festive Blessing Crackers are priced at £25 for the Festive Blessing Face Cracker and £20 for the Festive Blessing Body Cracker. Available at www.ila-spa.com, or you can pick one up in store at Fenwick or Harrods.
