Each week we’ll be featuring some of our fellow beauty-addict friends and the contents of their beauty bags. This week, we’re featuring the makeup essentials of Thea, a fashion production assistant in London.
“I’ve been using By Terry sheer expert tinted moisturiser for years and love the light coverage for day. It’s not drying and has a dewy finish. I like the science in this brand and I’m yet to find something I don’t like.
Benefit’s Erase Paste is perfect for covering imprefections. It has a warm, pale shade so it’s good at counteracting dark circles under the eyes, and the creamy texture is easy to blend and doesn’t doesn’t get caught in the creases.
I currently love By Terry’s Terrybly Mascara – I’ve only just started using it and have tried lots of brands. I’m always searching for something that doesn’t crumble through the day and leave me with panda eyes. This has serum in it so it cares for your lashes while separating them. My new favourite!
I use Chanel’s Solei Bronzer almost every day. This is sold as a makeup base but I use it over my tinted moisturiser just to warm up my skin a little. It can be built up for a darker tone for when you are tanned and is really easy to apply with a big brush – it’s good for contouring too. It doesn’t have any sparkle either, which is good as I’ve found so many bronzers are too sparkly for every day.
I’ve started using Chanel’s Limited Edition Rose Glacier Joues blusher as an alternative to Nars’s Orgasm (which I loved for a long timebut it’s too Saturday night and sparkly for everyday). I love the pink tone of this product, so much in fact that I bought two at the same time. The pigment is strong so a little goes a long way which is why I can justify the price point.
The final product in my beauty bag is Mac’s Soft and Gentle. This is a great highlighter, it gives a subtle glow, I use on the cheekbones, down my nose and on my eyelids”.
