Each week we’ll be featuring some of our fellow beauty-addict friends and the contents of their beauty bags. This week, we’re featuring Glass magazine’s beauty editor, Roberta.
‘I’m fairly obsessed with facial oils right now, and Odacité’s Acai Rose Concentrate is one of the best for my often-dehydrated skin. It’s blended with cold-pressed acai berries, which are a super-active antioxidant, and rose oil which soothes redness. I mix it into my day cream each morning, and apply it neat as an intensitve treatment on Sunday nights.
Niod’s Photography Fluid is designed to make skin look flawless in photos. It sounds pretty high-tec, but it’s basically a brilliant primer. I apply it under my foundation, and it gives that amazing poreless, airbrushed finish without feeling too heavy.
Chanel’s Vitalumière is my holy-grail foundation. It offers good coverage but has a satiny, dewy finish that makes me look like I’ve had 8 hours sleep (which I rarely have.) I apply it with my Real Techniques triangular foundation brush – the tapered end prevents any streaky lines.
I’m not usually a fan of powders, but this one from teeny Swedish brand Manasimakeup has me converted. It’s formulated by a celebrity make-up artist and designed to be undetectable under bright lights. I use it to set my foundation before a long day or a night out.
I use Chanel’s Camélia De Plumes highlighter every day, on the peak of my cheekbones. It’s an iridescent, pearly colour with no trace of glitter – I can’t stand anything too sparkly, so this is perfect.
All of Eyeko’s mascaras are brilliant, but the questionably named Rock ‘n’ Lash Out is my current favourite. Its comes with a mega-thick brush, and the formulation is super glossy – a total winner.
I love a vampy lip for nights out, but find a lot of lipsticks either too drying or too smudgy. Bobbi Brown’s Lip Colour is the richest, creamiest formulation, and the New Vintage Red shade is the perfect teeth-whitening blue-toned red.
The price of Eve Lom’s Kiss Mix lip balm makes me question my priorities in life, but it’s actually worth every penny. It’s infused with menthol, so plumps as it moisturises, and doesn’t smudge when worn under lipstick.
Byredo fragrances are my ultimate favourite. I like Blanche for day – it’s a clean, fresh linen kind of scent – but Flowerhead has a permanent home on my desk, in case of impromptu desk-to-dinner situations’.
